It always amazes me that I’m able to come up with five different things every week to share with you guys. Granted, many times it’s new foods or something along those lines, but to do it every week is pretty awesome. Plus it makes me get outside my comfort zone since I love routine so much.
This weekend should be great — temperatures should be around 60 and Neil’s brother’s family is coming in from out of town for a wedding. That means we will get to see them but also that there will be deep dish pizza involved somewhere. Looks like I might be eating dinner before we head there so that I don’t blow this meal plan out of the water. Yikes.
I’m still getting over a weird dry cough sickness, but out of all the illnesses I’ve seen my friends have this season, this is by far the mildest one. When we aren’t hanging out with family, you can find me resting on the couch for the next couple days.
Finally, here are the things I’m loving this week!
1. Maca Powder
I received this in the mail over the holidays when Navitas sent me the ingredients for their maca truffles (which were DELICIOUS). I have a ton of powders all around the house and usually just toss some into smoothies here and there. I don’t know what it is about this maca powder, but it smells like the inside of a Butterfinger to me and I’m obsessed with it. It makes me not just want to throw it in a smoothie and actually make something with it.

2. Sweatshirts at SWEAT
If you watch my IG stories, you will probably see me in one of the same three sweatshirts over and over again (I promise I’m wearing different clothes underneath). My absolute favorite ones are from SWEAT because they fit wonderfully, are insanely soft, and stay that way even after washing.

3. Egg Whites
I’ve gone through phases with egg whites. For awhile I used them exclusively instead of whole eggs, but that’s just no way to live for me. 🙂 Since then I usually eat three scrambled eggs a day, but now that I’m on this meal plan and don’t have a ton of wiggle room, I bought some egg whites to replace one of my eggs.
I like that these are cage free as well and I may stick with this mixture of whole and egg white eggs.
4. Trader Joe’s Vegetable Patties
I was perusing the TJ’s flyer the other day (does anyone else do this?) and saw they had some new veggie patties in the frozen section. I went and bought them immediately because they’re a good option to fit in my meal planning and I have loved every frozen patty I’ve had from TJ’s. Plus they’re only $1.99 for 4 patties. I had two of the carrot and pea ones last night and I’ll probably be back to buy more.
5. WOD Nation Speed Jump Rope
I probably have no business buying this speed rope because I will likely cut my leg off, but if I want to get better at jump roping and work on stringing together some double unders, this is the way to go. Plus it’s green which means I had to buy it immediately like my new gray sweatshirt.
