Today’s update is pretty short in terms of pictures, but I was actually busier than normal. Sorry to make you work more and read today. 🙂
Saturday I met up with friends for our weekly workout at Big City Crossfit.
Today is the start of a 4-week fitness challenge that I’m doing through the gym. It’s an exclusive challenge, meaning that we can only work out there in order to test the efficacy of the program and the workouts. We had a 12 point body analysis and personalized meal plans designed for us based on our goals. I’m actually really excited to see how things turn out and you’d better believe I’m going to share them with you on here.
Stay tuned for periodic updates here and on Instagram throughout the month.
After the workout we had an hour to kill before the nutrition seminar we were suggested to attend, so I grabbed this maple bombolini at Bombobar. I couldn’t eat it right after such a tough workout, so I saved it for later.
I got home around 2 pm, cleaned, and relaxed for awhile before getting ready to head over to a friend’s house for dinner. We had such a great time and it felt good to get out of the house and socialize!
Sunday morning I had to teach two classes at Sweat, so I headed there bright and early. The classes were packed, I had a new playlist, and it was amazing. I’m always in such a great mood after teaching.
I headed home and then was graced with this AMAZING lunch/dinner/food for the rest of my life poke bowl from Aloha Poke. It’s called their Sumo Bowl and is made to serve 8-10 people. I don’t think this picture does it justice at just how much food there is in there. Neil and I both ate two bowls throughout the day and we have more to go. At least all the fish will help me out with this challenge. 🙂
I also got a ton of food from Costco to stock up on for meal prepping in this month. Once I get in the swing of things it should be good, but right now I feel a little scattered. I’ve spent a lot of time getting away from tracking elements of my food since I’ve had issues with it before, but I feel better going into this and like my mind and heart are in the right place.
Neil and I watched some TV and hung out before the Super Bowl and then when it came on I did work and paused for the commercials. I loved Lady Gaga’s halftime performance and I really think that she was the perfect choice given the tumultuous state of the country right now. The inclusivity that she emotes in every song really meant a lot as I watched it this year.
After the game I got ready for bed because I have some early mornings coming up with trying to fit in all these workouts. I hope you all had a great weekend and have a great week coming up!
