Happy Monday guys!
I hope you all had a relaxing weekend and are ready to take on the world. Mine was a good mix of work and rest and marked my last weekend class at SWEAT, but we will get to that in a bit.
Saturday morning Neil and I planned on going to the 10 am showing of Logan. We almost slept through it until he woke me up at 9:20. We hopped out of bed, threw on clothes, and headed over. I woke up early but apparently fell back asleep. I can’t tell you the last time I slept that late.
Thankfully, we got to the movie with plenty of time. I liked it, but didn’t think it was the best Marvel movie I’d seen. I’m still happy I went.
After the movie we headed to the Loop for lunch at Cochon Volant. We ordered a bunch of food to split and all of it was good. These eggs were amazing but that’s because of all the butter they were cooked in. Everything is better with butter.
We had a couple savory dishes, so we had to balance it with this sweet chocolate waffle that I could only eat half of.
We also split their burger, which is something I’ve been meaning to try for some time. It was definitely salty, but also really good. I approve.
Following lunch, we made a stop at Target and then I went home to pass out on the couch for two hours. I woke up and decided to stay like this for the remainder of the day.
We watched some more movies and I wasn’t hungry for another six hours after lunch. Ha. After dinner, I was running my tongue in my mouth and felt a piece of my tooth come off! I’m thinking it probably has to do with the fact that I use my teeth to open a lot of things like a savage. I’ll check it out at my next dentist appointment.
Sunday morning I taught my last weekend class at SWEAT. I will still have my regular Tuesday classes for two more weeks, but then I will be done for good at the end of the month.
It was such a nice day out that I wandered around, bought loads of tea, and then headed home. I did a bunch of work around the house, photographed some upcoming projects, and then helped Neil go through some of our stuff to donate.
Here’s a shot of some of the electronics madness.
I also made my healthier chicken curry so that I could have new shots for the old post. It’s super simple and only takes about 20 min to make. I think I may redo the recipe on a later post this week because I did a few things differently that seemed to help it out a bit. Check back!
I got ahead of some work on Sunday night and then headed to bed to start bright and early with a 5:15 am workout today. Eek.
How was your weekend? Let me know in the comments!!
