Happy Friday friends!
I hope you’ve all had a great week and are ready for the weekend. I know I am! I don’t really have many plans this weekend (my favorite), so I foresee a lot of couch time, Donut time, and just hanging out with Neil.
Here’s a look at some of the things I’ve been loving this week — make sure to let me know yours in the comments. I’m always on the lookout for new things!

1. Trader Joe’s Crispy Crunchy GF Chocolate Chip Cookies
I asked on social media last week whether anyone had tried these GF cookies at Trader Joe’s because the picture looked awfully similar to my beloved Tate’s. I know that TJ’s frequently takes brand name products and resells them under their own private label, so I figured the chances were high. A couple people answered that they were in fact Tate’s cookies and those who weren’t sure still said they tasted delicious.
I went back and bought them and after trying just one could tell they were Tate’s. Since I’m a magnificent investigative journalist, I then did some research online and found mention of the brand specifically in this article, which is also interesting to read to see just how many of TJ’s products are actually well-known brands. My only gripe with these is that I don’t need them to be gluten-free and the fact that they are only makes the consistency around 0.1% less favorable to me than the regular version, but at a couple dollars less, I don’t mind it so much.
2. Ajiri Tea Kenyan Black with Ginger
I got my monthly Sips By box (click here if you have no idea what I’m talking about) and this tea was included. I love ginger, but I don’t love ginger tea. I also love black tea. This black tea PLUS ginger was able to combine two things I like into one delicious cup!
3. Egg Cups
This is kind of cheating since I just posted the recipe for these on Wednesday, but I have really been loving the convenience of popping a couple out, tossing them in the microwave, and having a healthy, protein-packed snack. Usually when I get hungry and don’t have a lot of good foods I go right for animal crackers or gummy worms which are both delicious but not the best to mindlessly snack on.
4. Dr. Scholl’s Leta Slip on Sneaker
I have wanted a simple pair of shoes like this forever. I have seen them on friends, in advertisements. and pretty much everywhere, but they always slipped my mind to buy. Tons of different companies make them, but when I saw a friend wearing them at the gym, I asked her where she got hers. To my surprise, she said they were Dr. Scholl’s and they were actually really comfortable — she didn’t really have to break them in at all!
I went home and bought them immediately and she was right. They’re super comfy and are a good casual shoe to replace the athletic sneakers I’m always wearing around. You can find them here and the Madison sneaker is also a similar choice for a little less money!
5. Adidas Blogger Community
I recently became a member of the Adidas blogger community, which is super fun for me because I LOVE my Ultraboost X shoes. Like, seriously love. I’ve had Adidas apparel since high school, so this is pretty exciting for me. I feel like Chicago is totally a Nike city, so I’m also pumped to try and bring some Adidas back into the mix.
What does this mean exactly? Well, over the course of the next year you will start to see some Adidas sponsored content on here. It should be a good balance with my other content and when I do sponsored posts, the brands are typically only background anyway to a more overarching message. How many of you are Adidas fans?
One of my sister’s dog’s, Corby, had a bit of a health scare this past month when my sister found a lump on her stomach. She underwent surgery last week and the lump was removed. We just got word that it was benign, so all’s clear on the heath front!
That’s all I’ve got for this week! See you next time!
