Five Things Friday #196

Happy Friday guys!

I’ve been spending most of this week working and watching the Crossfit Games. I love being able to watch them because I always feel so motivated to get back to the gym and work my hardest. Whenever I want to give up in a workout, I can just think about they had to row AN ENTIRE MARATHON. That’s 26.2 miles on a stationary rower, no headphones, for an average of 3 hours. Get out.

Now that our big party is behind us, this weekend is pretty relaxed. We will probably go see Mission Impossible at some point and potentially visit a museum (TBD which one) since we haven’t been since right after moving here. Other than that, it’s couch and snuggle time with Donut. Perfect.

Here are some of the things I’ve been loving this week. Let me know yours in the comments!

1. Kodiak Cakes Cups

There have been Kodiak Cakes cups for awhile, but they only recently released some new flavors, oatmeal, and a protein BROWNIE. I don’t know what it is about single-serving cups that you can just microwave and eat (prob because I’m lazy), but I really love them.

Each of these is great because they’re whole grains, packed with protein, and delicious. You’ll also note that 3 out of 4 contain chocolate which is another plus for me.

2. NOW Omega-3 Support for Pets

I found this Omega-3 supplement that I had ordered and forgotten about from the NOW Pets line and recently started giving it to Donut with her breakfast. I don’t always notice a huge difference when taking supplements, even in myself, but recently I was petting her and realized how soft her coat was. She also hasn’t had a bath in awhile so that’s not the reason. πŸ™‚

I can only attribute it to this change in her diet which is awesome!

3. Lifeway Probiotic Capsules

Even though I drink kombucha every day, I’ve also been trying these probiotic capsules from Lifeway (the kefir masters) to help out with my digestion and overall gut health. My sugar intake has been out of control for a little while now and has thrown everything else a little off. I’ve gotten my eating back under control this week and hopefully these bad boys will help regulate everything as I try to reign it back in.

4. Urban Decay All Nighter Spray

The next two items I got from my sister when she sent me a bunch of her Sephora samples. I tried this one out when we had our anniversary party and it did seem to help my makeup stay through the morning, afternoon, and into the evening as I ran around the city. I’ve always loved Urban Decay products and their eyeshadow primer is one of my absolute favorites, so I’m not surprised that this did what it advertised.

5. Bare Minerals Bare Skin Bronzer

I’ve been using more bronzer lately because it’s summer and I’m also not able to get out in the sun as much as I’d want. In addition to the powdered ones I have, I dab a little bit of this liquid bronzer from Bare Minerals and it helps me isolate the areas where I want a little more sun. It’s light and sheer, so even though it looks like it’ll be really dark, it definitely isn’t and just helps brighten everything up.

That’s all for this week — check back in on Monday!

Gimme all the Kodiak cake stuff! It’s been awhile since I’ve had them but I’ll change that very soon. Side note: do they make a waffle mix? I think they do, right? I usually use the pancake mix in my waffle iron but they come out a little… limp. 😐 And that Urban Decay spray is where it’s at! I’ve had the same bottle for for-ev-er and it never lets me down. – Kaitlyn | http://www.poweredbysass.com
