It took me around four years to buy my first real camera. For the first several years of this blog and my Instagram account, I only used my iPhone. I became proficient in figuring out lighting, angles, and most importantly — editing. (Editing is a MUST if you want the best pictures regardless of whether you use a phone or an actual camera). When asking yourself if you need a real camera, there’s one main thing to consider. What are you doing with your images? If your main social platform is Instagram and you’re killing it there, you may be… View Post

This topic is another one prompted by my request for posts you’d like to see on here. If health and nutrition are of interest to you, then you’ve no doubt been inundated by the 2125457 different diet trends and “advice” from people on Instagram and other social media avenues. It can be hard to know if you should be intermittently fasting, only eating a majority of fat, or any number of the conflicting messages that we see 24/7. Working from home sounds like such a dream — no makeup, sweatpants all day, and no one looking over your shoulder. Minus trips to either teach classes or train clients, I’ve been doing a lot of work at home for about two years, and although I love the flexibility, it’s an art that requires a lot of self-motivation and time management skills. It wasn’t until the start of this year that I really figured out what works for me. They’re relatively easy tips, but for some reason they never occurred to me as I would sit around and waste time… View Post

I’m roughly two weeks away from working entirely for myself. My only remaining job where I work for an employer is relatively hands-off as the company is based on the west coast, so I’ve been effectively working for myself for a couple months now. I don’t know that I ever pictured my life where it is today; in fact, I imagined at this point in my life I would be practicing pharmacy for virtually the rest of my life. To think that I was a person capable of owning a business would have been laughable to me. I was an… View Post
