Welcome to April where here in Chicago we still have some upcoming snow in the forecast. I think everyone in the city is getting a little antsy for winter to be over and to be able to finally shed those coats we’ve been wearing for what feels like forever. Luckily, Neil and I will be heading to Italy in 9 days where temperatures are already in the 60s. SO SOON. This month was actually pretty busy in terms of travel and events, but it all happened at the beginning. First, I visited my friend Jess in Charlottesville, VA so we… View Post

Well here we are on the last day of January. I feel like every month goes by faster and faster. I’m sharing what went on this month, but things are in no particular order. In fact, this first one is actually the last thing we did this month! Monday evening we got back from a trip to LA to visit Neil’s brother’s family. They technically live in Santa Monica and since we have been going there for so many years, I was thinking of writing up a travel guide to some of my favorite places – would you be interested?… View Post

Get ready for a lot of pictures guys. We’ve physically had Donut for six months now, but as she was six months when we got her, she’s officially one year old this month. Alright guys, we are back in the swing of things. I took a good 10 or so days off the blog which were much needed and left me itching to get back on here. Here’s what happened in December — At the beginning of the month, Neil and I took a trip to Miami to surprise his uncle for his 70th birthday. I hadn’t been to South Beach in almost 10 years. The last time I was there was for New Year’s and I definitely wasn’t in recovery then, so it’s safe to say that this was basically a fresh… View Post

I feel like I just wrote one of these for September and here we are at the end of November. Pretty soon it’ll be the new year! At the beginning of the month I traveled to Toronto to visit Beverley, a blogging friend I had known for a couple years but never actually met. The internet is magical. First, I drove to Michigan to stay with Ashley and then we went the rest of the way together. Our blogging group was rounded out by Erin (#2) and Jess who met us in Toronto. The trip was great, albeit a little… View Post
