I’ve been a personal trainer now for about three and a half years. I’ve gone through a lot of ways to use that title, from teaching to freelance writing about fitness to training individual clients, and in that time there are a few misconceptions that have come up. I think that everyone deserves to live their healthiest lives, and if any of these are holding you back from considering working with a trainer, I’m here to clear them up with you. You’re committed indefinitely Although I’ve been working with most of my current clients for at least a year or… View Post

I don’t think there’s any argument that exercise is good for you. I’m grateful that I’m someone who enjoys exercise and definitely feels the effects of not being able to work at full capacity for two months. I enjoy trying new ways to sweat and I’ve made it part of my career by working as a personal trainer. I have lots of friends who are either instructors or passionate about fitness themselves, so surrounding myself around them sometimes gives me the warped view that everyone LOVES FITNESS. I have mad respect for (good) trainers who do this well, I’m just not one of them. Because I was planning on working for myself, I needed… View Post

I haven’t done a What I Ate Wednesday post in FOREVER, which is crazy because I used to do them religiously every week. I figured today was a good day to cross this post off my list because I continue to get comments in reference to my Instagram and my eating habits, both at work and online. You guys, I love food. The supermarket is my happy place and I could spend hours wandering around and looking at new products. I love food that is healthy and I love food that is dripping in chocolate and has 5 sticks of… View Post
