Five Things Friday #53
I have a busy couple of days coming up since my sister Jackie is here until Monday. Yay! There are a lot of things on our itinerary and hopefully we can get through them all. Granted, most of it involves eating, but that’s still a lot of ground to cover!
I have one client to train this morning and then the day is ours. Let’s kick off the weekend with another Five Things Friday!
1. Forever 21 Workout Apparel
I was randomly wandering around Forever 21 and being overwhelmed by their enormous selection when I stumbled across their exercise line. On a whim, I tried some things on and was really impressed with how they fit me. I haven’t bought a new sports bra in over 5 years because I haven’t been able to find one that I like, but these looked great on me! They had a lot of unique styles for really cheap. This sports bra was $14.90 and the shirt I’m wearing was less than $10!
To be fair, I haven’t actually worked out in them yet so I can’t attest to how well they hold up, but I’ll report back to you as soon as I do. I can tell you that they are great for teaching and I received a bunch of compliments!
2. Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp on Netflix
This 8-episode series on Netflix is amazing. If you haven’t seen the original movie, you have to watch that before you watch this series. It is absolutely incredible that they got everyone back on the show after many of them have become extremely successful in movies and television.
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp is supposed to be a prequel to the movie and goes in depth showing the characters getting ready for the opening of camp and dives deeper into everyone’s backstory. It was really funny and I was really impressed with how well it did. It’s a quick watch and now I am sad that there’s no more. Here is a quick trailer for you to see everyone who made it back for the show since listing them all would take up way too much space. Watch it!
3. Target Cards
Target has a lot of amazing things, but recently when I was looking for cards, I came across these. I have a weird habit of seeing smiling faces in inanimate objects, so I felt like these were calling to me. I didn’t get them, but maybe I should. That toast makes me so happy.
4. Nestle’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
I also have a bad habit of eating a lot of the raw cookie dough before I actually make cookies. Then I wonder why I never get the amount the recipe calls for. Last weekend I decided to make some cookie waffles, so I bought a package of cookie dough. After the initial cookie waffle, I was too lazy to make any more and I’ve been slowly eating a square at a time (or two) for a snack. Ok, I lied. It hasn’t been slow. This is already the second package I’ve bought. Buy the original; the fancy chocolate lovers with all kinds of chocolate doesn’t taste as good.
Also, I’m blind to the “do not consume raw cookie dough” warning.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, my sister will be in town until Monday. You can read all about it on my weekend recap and also follow along on Instagram as we walk and eat our way through the city.
That’s all I’ve got for this week. Let me know some of your favorites in the comments section below and have a great weekend!
