Five Things Friday #113
Happy Friday everyone!
If you’re in the U.S. then I hope you had a great holiday yesterday and hopefully a longer weekend to come. For everyone else, it’s Friday! Yesterday was super low key for me — Neil, myself, and our friend Matt got together to make Thanksgiving lunch and watched a lot of old roasts on Comedy Central. We made sure to watch Donald Trump’s again which was just surreal and crazy, especially given all the references they made to him running for president. Yeeeeeek.
This weekend is light, unless you want to come take a class at SWEAT on Saturday, then I can make sure to kick some butt. 🙂 Here’s a quick recap of some of my favorite things from this week!
1. iPhone 7 Plus
Every year Neil and I upgrade our phones, so this time I picked up the iPhone 7 Plus. It’s basically the same as the previous model, except for the camera. The camera is magical you guys. I shared some pictures from it in Monday’s post, but I am so excited that I can get ones that actually look like I have a DSLR.
2. Case Station
After getting my phone, I started looking online for new cases. My old case had Zelda on it, but none of the ones I saw really caught my attention. Somehow I stumbled on the site for Case Station, which allows you to create customized cases. I was able to sign into my Instagram account and use one of my photos and I am OBSESSED. I got it in about 2 days and it even came with a fancy charging tool that works with new and old devices.
3. True Food Kitchen
This week True Food Kitchen opened in Chicago. I went last weekend for a pre-opening event and then again after it opened. Everything I’ve gotten so far has been so. good. I can see now why everyone raves about this place. This week’s meal was their butternut squash pizza with kale, onions, cranberries, ricotta, and, of course, butternut squash. I can’t wait to go back again. If you’ve been, tell me what to get next!
4. SWEAT Photos
We finally got our photos back from the SWEAT fitness shoot a couple weeks ago and I think they are way better than our first shoot we did. I’m sure you’ll be seeing them pop up on social media here and there and I’m super pumped about them!
Ok, so don’t hate me, but there’s only a little bit of Thanksgiving food that I like. I’m a huge fan of turkey, cranberry sauce (from a CAN), and sweet potatoes. I did make this fancy bowl of food though, so I ate the mashed potatoes, gravy, and stuffing as well. 🙂
It’s been great to have four days of (almost) no work and I definitely looked forward to it all week!
That’s all for this week — I hope you had a great holiday and have an even better weekend! Catch you guys on Monday!
