Five Things Friday #143

Welcome to the end of the week my friends!

This week was a little bit lighter for me in terms of training clients, which allowed me to chill out and get back into the swing of things after the craziness of Neil’s cousin’s wedding last week. This weekend we have a couple things planned, but nothing crazy, so hopefully I will get plenty of home time to continue that schedule.

Every week I feel like I struggle to come up with things for this post, but then miraculously as I run around my house I find things that I love and haven’t talked about. It always gives me a new appreciation for what I get and what I already have. Let me know some of your favorites from the week in the comments!

1. Sweetgreen’s Summer Menu

As much as I love warm, fall salads, the summer menu at Sweetgreen is definitely growing on me. This is their Mexican Elote bowl and I have two other seasonal ones to try, but I’m pretty sure they’ll both be delicious. If I’m ever feeling like a fall bowl again (I undoubtedly will), my favorite Harvest Bowl is available year round.

2. Gray sweatshirt

I’m obsessed with gray. Actually, white, black, and gray, and a majority of my clothes fall under that canopy.

I went to my friend Betsy’s house a couple weeks ago and because I was cold she gave me this sweatshirt to wear. As soon as I saw it I knew I must have it, so after I proceeded to spill chocolate on it and profess my love for it, she let me have it. I’ve been wearing around nonstop and I think it’s my favorite sweatshirt to date. The brand is Make and Model from Nordstrom and although they don’t have this exact one online, there’s a similar one here.

3. New egg pan

I shared about this on my Instagram stories about a month ago, but realized that I never put it into a Five Things Friday post. Considering I make eggs every day, it definitely belongs here.

I was having a problem making eggs where no matter how much spray or oil I used, they would stick to the pan. We’ve had the same ones since we got together 6 years ago, so we decided to scrap it and get a new one. It is LIFE CHANGING.

Nothing sticks at all and it makes scrambling eggs so much fun again. I don’t know why its non-stick abilities are so satisfying, but I’m happy every time I use it. This one is the 8-inch, but there are larger sizes as well. If you need a new frying pan, get on this one.

4. Nike PRO Top

I don’t know why I bought this long sleeve top just as summer is starting, but it had been saved in my Mercari* app for months and months and I felt bad that no one had bought it (yeah…that’s the reason).

It’s flattering but also not skin tight so I feel comfortable wearing it. It’s also my favorite color which means I love it even more.

*What’s Mercari you ask? You can read more about it here and get $10 to use with the provided code!

5. Wedding Dance

You may have already seen this if you follow me on Instagram, but if not, here’s a link to the dance Neil and I did at his cousin’s sangeet over the weekend. I’m slightly obsessed with it and want to do Indian dances all the time. I need some more family members to get married. πŸ™‚

That’s it for this week guys — I hope you have a wonderful weekend and let me know what you’re doing in the comments!

  1. I’m obsessed with grey, black and whites too – I have a grey sweater from H&M that looks similar to yours. They’re so comfy, and perfect because it hasn’t reached its hottest here yet. Oh, and I’d also love to try Sweetpea. It always sounds so good, wish I was in the US!

  2. Ooh, I’m definitely going to have to look into getting one of those gray sweatshirts! I almost bought one that was kinda similar looking at lululemon last weekend, but then I felt guilty about spending that much money on a plain gray shirt. And hooray for new egg pans! I got a new set of AllClad nonstick skillets for Christmas and I absolutely love them. No sticky eggs for me, either!

  3. Oooh that green Nike top is cute-I love Mercari. Also I LOVED your dance. I have yet to be to an Indian wedding but it sounds/looks fun with all the customs and beautiful outfits.
