Five Things Friday #216
This week and last I’ve been busy behind the scenes getting things set up for the virtual mental health summit in April. I’ve secured all the speakers except one and have already done 4 interviews. Guys it’s going to be epic. Stay tuned for more details and an official announcement, but if you want to know what’s going on before then, make sure you’re on the email list!
Aside from that, I’ve been getting ready for baby (as you’ll likely see in some of this week’s favorites). We have just over 9 weeks to go and it’s starting to sink in that there’s going to be another little tiny person here soon (besides Neil).
This weekend we are hanging with friends and doing some more work for summit prep. I hope you have an exciting weekend planned and here are some of my faves from this week!

1. Changing table
Obviously if you aren’t pregnant, this might not be too exciting for you, but here goes.
First off, I never thought that I would be so excited to get a changing table in the mail. It wasn’t so much the changing table as it was a place for me to finally organize and store things that I had strewn all around the house. I had bigger items in the living room, everything from our baby shower in one box in the bedroom, and all the clothes I had been accumulating in one of my drawers because there was nowhere to put them.
Having everything in one place brought such peace of mind and helped me feel a little less scattered.
2. Baby shower
We can just get all the baby-related things out of the way first. 🙂
My friends threw me a baby shower last weekend and it was really, really nice. I can’t remember the last time I had a party thrown for me, so it was a little overwhelming and honestly I felt a little useless because I wasn’t able to help with anything despite my persistent asking.
We had a taco bar, donut cake, and lots of friends which made for a great afternoon.
Since I’ve started filming interviews for the summit, I wanted to have a quality microphone for the audio. I got this Samson microphone which was a BIG improvement over my headphone mic. Plus, it looks like a cute robot and when you fold it up he looks like R2-D2. Amazing.

4. Athleta Speedlight Tank
I don’t know what has happened to me lately, but whenever I go to Athleta I keep leaving with brightly colored things. Maybe I’ve realized that I have enough black leggings and gray shirts, but yesterday I got this bright red Speedlight tank and I love it. It’s long and ruched on the sides, so it fits me really well considering I have a giant ball in front of me now.
I got a size small, and even while seven months pregnant it seemed a little big, so I might size down if you’re ordering and not able to try it on.
5. Navigating Wellness E-book
I announced this in a blog post and also via email, but realized that it never made this list after I released it. I’ve addressed many of your complaints with the health and wellness industry in my new e-book Navigating Wellness and think it’s a great resource to learn who/what to listen to, save money, and bring more diversity and positivity into your social media feeds.
So far the reception has been great and I think it’s a really valuable resource to have. If you’re interested in learning more or getting it, head here!
That’s it! See you guys on Monday!
