Happy Wednesday friends!
For this week’s edition of What I Ate Wednesday, most of my foods throughout the day are typical, but last night I was in the mood for BBQ, so I picked Neil up and we made our way to a local BBQ place, Carolina Brothers. What is really cool about this restaurant is that it is located right along the W & OD Trail where I run. It is a great place for runners/bikers/etc to stop by for a break and some delicious BBQ. It’s a great location because I have run by there many times and the enticing smell of BBQ has almost lured me in. If I had had cash on me, it would have been a definite.

Same scrambled eggs and mushrooms and my chocolate blueberry basil smoothie.
I had my morning doppio espresso and a banana. Later on before lunch I snacked on a GFB. Still delicious! I ran my 5K route in the morning before work, so some days I get hungrier than others and need to grab one of the many snacks I hoard in my desk.
Neil’s mom makes me a lentil lunch whenever I see her, so that way I don’t have to figure out what to make myself. Genius.
I had one of my newest obsessions: this maple pecan and sea salt Kind bar. I have a thing for maple.
As I mentioned, Neil and I went for BBQ. I got a pulled chicken BBQ sandwich and ate it in about 5 minutes since we got there at 6:46 and they close at 7 pm. I could have eaten another one, but I didn’t want to make them stop closing up so I could shove my face with delicious chicken.
So that’s it for my eats yesterday. I hope yours were as delicious!
