Weekend in Raleigh - Erin's Inside Job

Weekend in Raleigh

Happy Monday!

This post is coming to you super late in the day, but we just got home from North Carolina and I wanted to stop in and say hi.  As you know, Neil and I traveled to Raleigh Thursday night so that we could be there for a housewarming.  We spent the weekend hanging out with family and eating a LOT of food.

Since we were there for roughly 4 days, I will keep my recap brief.  We arrived to a framed menu for the weekend. You know this means business.

Here is a visual recap of some of these meals.

IMG_4341.JPGSaturday night was the official housewarming party, so we all got fancy and used Pinterest to help with the decorations.  How’s this for a kitchen?

IMG_4339.JPGApparently I didn’t have anyone take mine and Neil’s picture, but if I locate one from someone else, I will share it later. I will at least have a picture of my dress, but I will be talking about that in more detail in another post.

Workout

I  had intended to get both a run and a Pure Barre class in this weekend, but was only able to fit in my run.  The party on Saturday night lasted WELL into the night and no one was feeling like heading out in the morning.  Now that I am a lady of leisure for the time being, I am having a look at the gym schedule for the next few weeks to see how much I can get in.

Their house is located near a preserved area of woods where there is an expansive running and biking trail.  It reminded me of the trail here in VA and I got up early on Saturday to knock out 5 miles before breakfast.

IMG_4319.JPGThe weekend was such a blast and I loved being able to see everyone again since a lot of them are spread across the country.  Even though we don’t live in the same place, we apparently have the same fantastic taste in clothes.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and your week is off to a good start!

Question of the day:  What did you do this weekend? How often do you use Pinterest?
