Waffled Chocolate Chip Cookies
I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner.
For the ultimate lazy dessert, I bring you waffled chocolate chip cookies. After putting cinnamon rolls in a waffle maker a few weeks ago, I started to think about what other things I could shove in there for a quick treat. My first thought was cookie dough, so I finally got around to making these over the weekend. Who has time to wait 13-14 minutes? I need like 5.
The key difference between cinnamon rolls and cookies is that the cinnamon rolls are ready in about 3 minutes and are firm straight from the waffle maker. After my first failed attempt, I used my brain and remembered that cookies usually need time to cool and set. I kept cooking the first set which caused them to burn and I thought all was lost:
Once I used my deductive reasoning skills, however, I soon perfected the waffled chocolate chip cookie. Beware, it is quick and dangerous.
Waffled Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Pre made cookie dough (I used Toll House chocolate chip, but there are many other flavors to choose from)
- Preheat waffle maker. Place desired number of raw cookies into waffle maker and close lid. (I used two or three).
- Cook for 2 minutes, then unplug waffle maker and open lid. Let the cookie waffle cool and set for approximately 5 min or until it is firm enough to lift from the waffle maker.
- Eat as is or cover with ice cream or delicious pumpkin spice almond butter like I did.
- Go into a sugar coma.
I’m sure this would work with homemade cookie dough as well, but for me that defeats the quick and lazy part of it. If anyone tries it with homemade dough let me know how it turns out!
Question of the day: Have you made any other foods besides waffles in a waffle maker?

So simple yet I had not thought of it yet. And thanks for figuring out the kinks because I would have had a bowl of cookie crumbles for sure haha!

Also a great choice!
I’ve heard you can make good hash browns in the waffle maker… Using the frozen potatoes. I need to try that next!
This is a fab idea and you are right, works in no time. It looks like a fun project and I’m sure these taste better from the waffle maker than from the over. Looking forward to more ideas like this! 🙂
